Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
I was born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario. I completed my undergraduate B.Sc. and D.D.S. at the University of Toronto. During my studies I received numerous awards. This includes the Ontario Dental Association Proficiency Award for the highest standing in general dentistry and a summer internship at Princess Margaret Hospital in the Department of Dental Oncology.
I then completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston University where I participated in the care of patients in multiple hospitals. This was primarily at three tertiary care centers in the Boston metropolitan area: Boston University Medical Center, Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the Veteran Affairs Boston Healthcare System. Two of these hospitals are level 1 trauma centers and one is the busiest trauma center in New England. As part of my training, I completed an integrated one year general surgery internship including rotations in surgical intensive care, otolaryngology and plastic surgery. I completed dedicated anesthesia rotations in adult and pediatric anesthesia. I was also involved in a variety of extracurricular activities including a cleft lip and palate mission to Colombia with Healing the Children, and publication in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
I am a board certified specialist in both Canada and the United States. I have a particular interest in complex extractions, third molar removal, dental implants, Teeth in a Day (All on 4), zygomatic implants and advanced bone grafting.
I am a member of multiple professional organizations including the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Ontario Dental Association.
